KAUTILYA’S   ‘ARTHASHAASTRA’

ChaaNkya is accepted as one of the  thregreatest minds of the world and compared with Machiavelli, Aristotle and Plato. He is oldest among them.

He is known by three names- ChaaNkkya, Kautilya and VishNugupta.

We are still not in position to say about his birthplace firmly. It may be Pataliputra, Taxsila or Kerala.

He studied and taught in the University of Taxsila , the topmost institution of the world of its time.

ChaNkya destroyed Nand dynasty and installed Chandragupta Maurya as a king of Magadh.

ChaNkya is celebrated as a ruthless administrator , diplomat ,strategist , great thinker , converter of his thinking into action and a king-maker.

His two books- Arthashatra and Nitishaastra  enjoy top position in their field even now.

Here I am presenting a few glimpses of his glittering wisdom of un parallel quality.

I have re- arranged these shlokas as per my understanding.

चाणक्य विश्व की तीन महाविभूतियों - मैकियावेली,अरस्तू और प्लेटो में से एक माना जाता है।

चाणक्य इनसबों में प्राचीनतम हैं।

वे तीन नामों से विख्यात हैं- चाणक्य,कौटिल्य तथा विष्णुगुप्त।

उनके जन्मस्थान के बारे में आज भी कुछ सुनिश्चित रूप से बता पाना सम्भव नहीं है। उनका सम्बन्ध पटलिपुत्र ( पटना),तक्षशिलाया केरल से जोडा॰ जाता है।

ऊन्होंने अपने समय के विश्वविख्यात विश्वविद्यालय तक्षशिला में शिक्षा प्राप्त की और वही एक सम्मानित शिक्षक के रूप में प्रतिष्ठापित हुए।

चाणक्य ने नन्दवंश का विनाश कर चन्द्रगुप्त को राजा के रूप में प्रतिष्ठापित कर दिया।

वे एक हृदयहीन प्रशासक, राजनयिक, युद्धनीतिज़, महान चिंतक एवं विचारों को कार्यरुप में परिणत करनेवालों में माने जाते हैं।

उनकी दो पुस्तके-अर्थशास्त्र और नीतिदर्पण - आज भी अपने क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखती हैं।

यहाँ मैने उनकी बौद्धिक - सम्पदा के कुछ प्रकाश पुंजों को प्रस्तुत किया है।

यहां मैंने उनके विचारों को अपनी समझ के अनुसार संयोजित किया है।
