Sri Lakshmi Narsimha swamy Temple

This is
one of the oldest temples of Bangalore .
It was
built by Venkoji , the step brother of Chhatrapati Shivaji ,Maharaj.
Once he saw
lord Shiva in his dream , who directed him to build a temple.
While
searching a proper place to give shape to the desire of the lord, he came
across this small hillock and decided to
built this temple.
This
temple is dedicated to lord Narsimha , the ferocious loin- headed god who
killed Hiranyakashyapu to protect his devotee Prahlad.
This ,
small, but powerful temple is the symbol of assurance of protection to all his
devotees.
I visited
this temple on 16th January 2013.
