He was born in 1923 at Saidabad, near Jehanabad in Bihar.
He started his medical practice at Jehanabad, after
receiving his several degrees in Ayurveda from Patna, under the Supervision of
his father Kamleshwar Misra’s younger brother Pandit shri Parmanand ji Mishra.
Parmanand Mishra ji was a great Vaidya as well as a great
devotee of Maa Kali and Lord Krishna. He visited Kamrup Kamkyha every year for
his tantric saadhana and spent some days in Vrindaavan every year. We have
heard many stories of his rare experiences. Shri Gangadhar Mishra took nobody
greater than him. He named his Aushdhaalay as PERMANAND AUSHDHALAY and his huge
house as PERMANAND BHAVAN.
He prepared all his medicines at home. It was done under the
supervision of his father Pandit
Kamleshwar mishra ji. He had huge number of helpers for this job. It was done
at saidabad. At times work continued for the whole night. Some of the Ashavas
and Arishts were kept under ground for years together. Mahaa NaraayaN tail and
other oils and Chyavan praash were prepared like celebrations. People worked
with interest, enthusiasm , care and as a compact team, more like family members. They all were cared properly.
He cured many patients suffering from Paralysis and had lost
all hopes of life after going through all the allopathic and other treatments.
He was also known for his treatment to those ladies who had
lost their hope of becoming mother in their life. There are big number of such
ladies who worshiped him as god.
He offered food and medicine both to his poor patients.
He led a busy life.
He never returned home from his dispensary before 12 o’clock at
night.
His family had standing instruction to wake him up at any
odd time, if a patient comes.
Patients came to him from all parts of India.
He used to write few pages of his book ‘MERE DWAARAA PRAYUKTA, ANUBHOOT EVAM AAVISHKRIT AYURVEDICAUSHAHIYAAN’ whenever he
got time. It contained seven hundred hand written pages. But presently its
manuscript is missing somewhere. It is a great loss.
He took one kg. of pure milk of his own black cow. He walked from his home to his
garden daily. He was a great lover of maaldah mangoes of his garden. Among
sweets he liked rasgulla maximum. He shaved regularly. He used Silk –kurta and superfine best
possible dhoti available in the market. His shoes were always shining. Among
hotels he never forgot to visit Soda -fountain at Patna. This was one of the
best hotels of Patna during those days. He watched films of his choice time to
time. He had a royal personality and led a royal life. He donated a lot to the
institutions, temples and people in need, silently. In spite of leading a very
busy life , he traveled a lot.
He was the only son
of his parents. Till he was above sixty and his mother was alive, she used to
make him sit in her lap and kiss him, before he left for his dispensary in the
morning.
His wife Smt. Lakhpati Devi ,took his maximum care. She was
the backbone of the family and cared each and every member of her family and
